Hospice Cof­fee Morn­ing earns im­pres­sive €4,461

IRE­LAND’S Big­gest Cof­fee Morn­ing which is spon­sored by Bew­ley’s is one of the ma­jor fundrais­ers for Hospice na­tion­ally.

Thurs­day, Septem­ber 20th was the date of this year’s event and the Castleis­land fundrais­ing branch of the Kerry Hospice Foun­da­tion hosted its event at the for­mer Mi­lano Bou­tique on Lower Main Street and at Jack Shana­han’s Haven Phar­macy at Gar­vey’s Su­per­Valu.

The branch also in­vited peo­ple to host an event in their own homes or busi­nesses and sev­eral peo­ple did.

Mem­bers of branch now wish to thank ev­ery­one who helped out, do­nated or held a cof­fee morn­ing. Pro­ceeds from the com­bined events came to €4,461.00.

The branch also wish to thank peo­ple for re­cent dona­tions re­ceived amount­ing to €3.045.

All funds raised lo­cally will re­main in Kerry and go to­wards the on­go­ing ex­penses in­curred in the run­ning of the pal­lia­tive care cen­tre at Univer­sity Hos­pi­tal Kerry.
