Man charged with dan­ger­ous driv­ing caus­ing death in Duagh

A 21-year-old man from Abbeyfeale has been charged with dan­ger­ous driv­ing caus­ing death in Duagh last year.

John Stack, Ca­her­hayes, Abbeyfeale, ap­peared be­fore Judge David Wa­ters at Lis­towel Dis­trict Court on Thurs­day charged with dan­ger­ous driv­ing caus­ing the death of Carmel Car­mody at Foil­dar­rig, Duagh, Lis­towel, on Novem­ber 11 of 2017, con­trary to the pro­vi­sions of sec­tion 53 of the Road Traf­fic Act.

Mr Stack at­tended court in Lis­towel on Thurs­day in the com­pany of his fa­ther.

Le­gal aid was granted Mr Stack with solic­i­tor Pádraig O’Con­nell as­signed the case.

The case was ad­journed by Judge Wa­ters un­til Novem­ber 15 next for ser­vice of the book of ev­i­dence.
