THE Ker­ry­man is de­lighted to wel­come jour­nal­ist, TV and Ra­dio pre­sen­ter Matt Cooper as this year’s guest speaker at The Ker­ry­man Busi­ness Awards. Matt is well versed on the is­sues fac­ing busi­ness to­day given his strong back­ground as a busi­ness jour­nal­ist, while his role as ra­dio and TV pre­sen­ter also en­sure his fin­ger is on the pulse of ev­ery­day is­sues af­fect­ing busi­ness at both a mi­cro and macro level.

Last month Matt Cooper spoke to The Ker­ry­man about some of the key is­sues sur­round­ing busi­ness and the need for government to fac­tor in lo­cal busi­nesses as part of its fu­ture plans and strate­gies to aid the econ­omy.

Matt spoke of the ‘Kerry char­ac­ter­is­tic’ when it comes to do­ing busi­ness which has been im­bued over many years. He re­ferred to Kerry’s ex­cel­lent record in ser­vice and in­dus­try and how it has a good knowl­edge of how to sell it­self as a place to do busi­ness. Matt is a reg­u­lar vis­i­tor to Kerry where he hol­i­days in Din­gle and Kil­lar­ney. He is look­ing for­ward to speak­ing at the awards event and meet­ing with the peo­ple be­hind Kerry busi­ness.

“There is al­ways am­bi­tion in Kerry and I’m very much look­ing for­ward to meet­ing with the var­i­ous peo­ple who have busi­ness in­ter­ests at the awards night. Tralee is one part of Kerry that I haven’t vis­ited that much as I usu­ally spend a lot of time each year in Kil­lar­ney and Din­gle. It prom­ises to be a good evening and it’s one I’m look­ing for­ward to,” Matt said.

I’m very much look­ing for­ward to meet­ing with the var­i­ous peo­ple who have busi­ness in­ter­ests at the awards night.
