Bon Secours Hospital

The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition) - - BUSINESS AWARDS 2018 -

THE Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee continues to be progressive and innovative in delivering modern healthcare. Established in 1922, the Bon Secours Tralee is today a 150 bed private hospital providing a comprehensive range of modern diagnostic, therapeutic and support services. Moreover, the hospital is accredited by Joint Commission International, which reflects its state of the art healthcare practices. It places a major emphasis on establishing the highest patient care standards and holistic care approach. The Bon Secours in Tralee employs over 500 people, while it also supports local charity causes. It invests annually, through its Community Initiative Programme, in worthwhile projects to the most vulnerable in society thus helping to bring about a social good. It has a long and proud history of delivering exceptional patient-centred and compassionate care. It also examines patient and staff feedback with the aim of better understanding and being able to make improvements where necessary. Clinical patient care and satisfaction is core to what the Bon Secours looks to achieve. Research shows that patients who experience exceptional care in a hospital are willing to recommend that hospital to others. The Bon Secours’ results from the ‘Happy Or Not’ feedback system puts the Tralee hospital in the top 20 per cent in the healthcare industry. While the Bon Secours in Tralee is very much a modern and vibrant hospital, it is continually looking for new ways to keep improving its range of healthcare services and making patient care its primary objective.
