-

THE Allianz Cumann na mBunscol two-teacher teacher final will feature last year’s champions Scoil Náisiúnta an Clocháin who will face Scoil Náisiúnta an Fhoil Mhór in semi finals. They defeated Shrone and Derryquay respectively.

In the three-teacher Allianz Cumann na mBunscol quarter finals Knocknagoshel defeated Asdee and will now face Ceann Trá last year’s county runners up in the semi-final.

Scoil Téalt na Mara Tuath Ó Síosta will take on Knockanes last year’s champions.

The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol 4/5 teacher semi-finals were completed this week, and there will be a unique pairing in the final, with St Brendan’s NS, Fenit facing Barraduff NS.

2017 shield winners St Brendans had a good win over a young Scoil Eoin Baiste, Lios Póil team, and Barraduff defeated Glenbeigh NS 2-9 to 1-6. Glenbeigh started this game well and lead 0-4 to 0-1 after 10mins, but with Pierce Moynihan, Diarmaid Furlong and Cian O’Connor playing well, two quick goals saw them lead 2-2 to 0-5 at half-time.

A strong defensive display in the second half paved the way for their win, helped by the excellent Brian Murphy and Mark Brosnan. Best for Glenbeigh were Seodhla O’Donovan, Keith Moriarty and Naoise Burke.

The quarter-finals of the shield competition saw Tarbert NS defeat Scartaglen by six points and after a brilliant game in Beaufort, Loughitane NS defeated Aghatubrid NS 1-15 to 1-12.

The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Division 1 semi-final line up is as follows. Holy Family Rathmore take on St. Bridgets, Duagh and Scoil Eoin, Balloonagh will take on Scoil Réalt na Maidine, Listowel.

Finals fixed for Wednesday, November 14.
