Trophy visit causes a stir
GIVEN that it’s normally locked behind glass in an English stadium soccer fans in Tralee had a rare treat last week when the Premiership Trophy was brought to town for a visit.
The cup was brought to Garvey’s SuperValu on Rock Sreet last Wednesday as part of a Cadbury publicity tour and to mark the shop’s 25th birthday.
Unsurprising there was huge interest in seeing the famous trophy and the queue snaked all the way out the back door.
