Tro­phy visit causes a stir

GIVEN that it’s nor­mally locked be­hind glass in an English sta­dium soc­cer fans in Tralee had a rare treat last week when the Premier­ship Tro­phy was brought to town for a visit.

The cup was brought to Gar­vey’s Su­perValu on Rock Sreet last Wednesday as part of a Cad­bury pub­lic­ity tour and to mark the shop’s 25th birth­day.

Un­sur­pris­ing there was huge in­ter­est in see­ing the fa­mous tro­phy and the queue snaked all the way out the back door.

There was a huge turnout as the Premier­ship tro­phy ar­rived at Gar­vey’s Su­perValu on Rock Street last Wednesday as part of Gar­vey’s 25th An­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions.
