Entertainment on ice in Killarney!
GET Your Skates on – Killarney on Ice is coming back from Friday, December 1, to Sunday January 7.
Hugely popular over the past two years, the 600 square metre ice rink under marquee will once again be located in the Beech Road car park beside the tourist office.
Schools, youth clubs and sports teams across the county are already using the group booking discount rate to plan a session on Kerry’s only festive ice rink and the normal opening times can be extended during the day to accommodate school groups. “Value for money is key” says promoter Tim O’ Donoghue, adding, “that’s why we have special family, group rates and loyalty cards, just ask at the box office”.
Helmets and skate aids are available for novices with double-bladed skates for young children.
“Ice skating is lots of fun, eas- ily picked up and is great exercise. We also welcome birthday parties and have Christmas gift vouchers,” Tim adds.
There is a shop with refreshments and hot beverages with seating for spectators. The rink will be open daily from 5pm on selected weekdays and from 11am on Saturdays & Sundays and during school holidays.
