Town centre gets a welcome clean up

The Kerryman (Tralee Edition) - - NEWS - By SIMON BROUDER

IT was very welcome to see some of the town centre, and The Mall in particular, getting a much needed wash on Tuesday evening.

In recent weeks the Mall and the Square – and many other areas around them – had become extremely grimey with large areas covered in thick black dirt.

On Tuesday evening council staff began power washing the Mall, using river water due to the hosepipe ban.

The Mall is looking much better. However, much of the town centre – such as Ashe Street and the Town Square are still very dirty and is still in bad need of a wash.

Lets hope that the council’s good work continues in the coming days and the rest of the town centre gets the spruce up that it so badly needs at the height of the summer.
