The History Group wishes to thank everyone who attended the John Joe O’Sullivan Memorial Lecture last Tuesday, where Dr. Pádraig Ó Donnabháin traced the History of the Irish Educational System since its foundation in 1831. The commemorative music was performed by Dave Hegarty and Ciarán Dalton.
The group’s Trad-Cum-Classical Concert will take place in the same White Sands venue on Sat. 11th August at 8.00pm, for which tickets are now available.
The Special Event celebrating the centenary of the Right to Vote for Women is being scheduled for the autumn time. An organising committee will clarify the nature of the Event with time.

The death has occurred of John Francis Guerin, Sandhill Road, Ballyheigue.
Reposing at his home on Friday 6th July. Requiem Mass on Saturday 7th July in St. Mary’s Church and buriel afterwards to the Holy Family Cemetery, Ballyheigue. May He Rest in Peace.
