Kenmare the venue for popular Quest test
QUEST Kenmare is the newest event in the Quest series and the 2019 event will be held on March 2. It is an adventure race, which entails running, cycling and kayaking – has routes to suit all levels of fitness from the seasoned adventure racer to the Quest first-timer. People can choose from the 29km ‘Challenge’ route, the 50km ‘Sport’ route or the 67km ‘Expert’ route. It’s not just the grizzly hardened-adventurers that take part in these races. People of all levels of fitness participate, if you can run a 10k, you can do an adventure race! Plus, there are great ‘Couch to Quest’ training plans for anyone setting out on their first adventure race training.
Participants staying in Kenmare and its surround will be treated to some of the best hospitality in Ireland. The event will start and finish in Kenmare town which guarantees a great atmosphere and superb facilities including hot food, hot tubs, recover zone, entertainment, finishers’ medal and an exclusive Quest top for all participants.
Quest Kenmare boasts having Ireland’s most spectacular and breath-taking scenery around every corner. It offers the opportunity to embrace the unspoiled beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way and rugged coastline of the Beara Peninsula. Those unfamiliar with areas on the course are in for a real treat when they discover these hidden gems for thefirsttime.
The Quest series is run by Elite Event Management who also manage the Ring of Beara Cycle, so participants can expect a similarly great atmosphere and support. The first Kenmare Quest in 2018 sold out in record time so be sure to keep an eye out for registration, opening in early October. If last year is anything to go by it’s going to be a great day out!
