Ken­mare the venue for pop­u­lar Quest test

QUEST Ken­mare is the new­est event in the Quest se­ries and the 2019 event will be held on March 2. It is an ad­ven­ture race, which en­tails run­ning, cy­cling and kayak­ing – has routes to suit all lev­els of fit­ness from the sea­soned ad­ven­ture racer to the Quest first-timer. People can choose from the 29km ‘Chal­lenge’ route, the 50km ‘Sport’ route or the 67km ‘Ex­pert’ route. It’s not just the griz­zly hard­ened-ad­ven­tur­ers that take part in these races. People of all lev­els of fit­ness par­tic­i­pate, if you can run a 10k, you can do an ad­ven­ture race! Plus, there are great ‘Couch to Quest’ train­ing plans for any­one set­ting out on their first ad­ven­ture race train­ing.

Par­tic­i­pants stay­ing in Ken­mare and its sur­round will be treated to some of the best hospi­tal­ity in Ire­land. The event will start and fin­ish in Ken­mare town which guar­an­tees a great at­mos­phere and su­perb fa­cil­i­ties in­clud­ing hot food, hot tubs, re­cover zone, en­ter­tain­ment, fin­ish­ers’ medal and an ex­clu­sive Quest top for all par­tic­i­pants.

Quest Ken­mare boasts hav­ing Ire­land’s most spec­tac­u­lar and breath-tak­ing scenery around ev­ery cor­ner. It of­fers the op­por­tu­nity to em­brace the un­spoiled beauty of the Wild At­lantic Way and rugged coast­line of the Beara Penin­sula. Those un­fa­mil­iar with ar­eas on the course are in for a real treat when they dis­cover these hid­den gems for the­first­time.

The Quest se­ries is run by Elite Event Man­age­ment who also man­age the Ring of Beara Cy­cle, so par­tic­i­pants can ex­pect a sim­i­larly great at­mos­phere and sup­port. The first Ken­mare Quest in 2018 sold out in record time so be sure to keep an eye out for regis­tra­tion, open­ing in early Oc­to­ber.
