OR­CHES­TRAS AND EN­SEM­BLES

We’re pleased to re­port a very strong turnout for both Ju­nior and Se­nior or­ches­tras since re­sum­ing on Fri­day, Septem­ber 29th. The Flute Choir re­sumed last Fri­day un­der Ermelinda Xhy­heri in the Mo­ri­arty (Up­per) Stu­dio with a great turnout..

KERRY CHAM­BER CHOIR

Kerry’s lead­ing cham­ber choir re­turned to reg­u­lar Mon­day night re­hearsals in Kerry School of Mu­sic’s Fleis­chmann Stu­dio on Mon­day, Septem­ber 17th. The pro­gramme for this year in­cludes Han­del’s Mes­siah in Kil­lar­ney Fri­ary on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 16th.

A choral set­ting of Schu­bert’s mas­ter­ful song cy­cle Win­ter­reise and ex­cerpts from Orff’s Carmina Bu­rana, adapted for Soloists, SATB choir, two pi­anos and per­cus­sion is also on the menu. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come. Call Ai­dan O’ Car­roll di­rectly on 0874103220.

TRALEE CHIILDREN’S CHOIR

Tralee Chil­dren’s Choir re­sumed re­hearsals on Mon­day Septem­ber 10th with a very strong turnout. Mem­ber­ship is open to chil­dren be­tween the ages of 7-12. Re­hearsals take place ev­ery Mon­day 6.30 -7.15pm in the Fleis­chmann Stu­dio in Kerry School of Mu­sic. Call 066-7125690 or 0874103220 for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion.

The choir will record a Christ­mas CD and per­form widely through­out the county dur­ing the com­ing year. There will also be a num­ber of joint per­for­mances with the Lis­towel and Cathe­dral Chil­dren’s Choirs dur­ingthe year.

LIS­TOWEL CHIL­DREN’S CHOIR

LOST

Light Opera So­ci­ety of Tralee’s (LOST) pro­duc­tion of the multi award win­ning mu­si­cal Chicago, due to run in Si­amsa Tire last week has been resched­uled to run from March 6th to 9th.

The pro­duc­tion is di­rected by Grainne O’ Car­roll, chore­ographed by Ka­t­rina Galvin and mu­si­cally di­rected by Ai­dan O’ Car­roll and Anna Con­nolly. Book­ing is at Si­amsa Tire Box-of­fice on 066-7123055.

Adult stu­dents are al­ways wel­come to en­quire about lessons at the School. Re­tire­ment of­fers a great op­por­tu­nity to pur­sue up a life-long am­bi­tion to play a mu­si­cal in­stru­ment.

TASTER CLASSES

Par­ents or adult stu­dents can book a sin­gle les­son or a 5-les­son taster pack­age for any in­stru­ment in­clud­ing voice.

Par­ents con­sid­er­ing voice lessons can also avail of a free vo­cal as­sess­ment.
