Noth­ing beats a Christ­mas Party

IF there is one cer­tainty about Christ­mas it’s that it seems to be ar­riv­ing ear­lier and ear­lier each year which is ex­actly why it’s im­por­tant that you to start plan­ning your end-of-year party while there’s still plenty of light left dur­ing these au­tum­nal evenings that re­mind us of win­ter’s on­set. In other words, it’s wise to start plan­ning your Christ­mas party well be­fore Hal­loween so as to avoid dis­ap­point­ment when fect venue. Let’s face it, work­ing hard all year de­serves some spe­cial ‘down time’ and Christ­mas is a per­fect oc­ca­sion to un­wind from all the stress and strains as­so­ci­ated with the work­ing en­vi­ron­ment.

But of course Christ­mas par­ties are not just ex­clu­sive to the work place. In fact, whether it’s a Book Club, or just a ca­sual get to­gether through­out the year, Christ­mas is a spe­cial time and few par­ties – for bet­ter or worse – can com­pare to its un­sus­pect­ing magic. It re­ally is a time of year un­like any other and no amount of sum­mer hol­i­days can ig­nite the essence of a party at­mos­phere quite like Christ­mas can: the warmth of a blaz­ing fire as you sit around en­joy­ing fes­tive drinks, or the re­lax­ing am­biance and soft light­ing of the restau­rant.

So take heed and start or­gan­is­ing that party straight away. Such a task need not be a laboured one ei­ther for plan­ning early will en­sure you leave plenty of time for those in­evitable last minute al­ter­ations.
