Dingle Sea Safari

The Kerryman (Tralee Edition) - - BUSINESS AWARDS 2018 -

THE exhilarating Sea Safari based in Dingle is one of the peninsula’s great attractions. Journeying from Dingle harbour around the craggy cliffs of Slea Head to the historic Blasket Islands in an open commercial rib provides a fantastic way for its customers to see the beauty and wildlife of the spectacular Dingle Peninsula.

The business gives both tourists and locals an opportunity to experience the beauty, history and geology of the locality. It attracts tourists from around the world and this has a positive impact on the local community with tourists staying in the area, experiencing the restaurants and also engaging in other activities. The business has created new jobs within the community which has also had a positive impact on the region.

This unique tour allows customers to explore the coastline of the Dingle Peninsula and the Blasket Islands more intimately, rather than simply passing them by car. The tour is limited to 12 people, which makes it a very personal experience. The open rib allows customers excellent views of marine mammals and birds.

A guided historical and geological narration of the Dingle Peninsula is also given using the captain’s extensive local knowledge of the coastline. This business adds a special and unique experience to what is a breathtaking landscape.
