Free park­ing in Tralee is re­turn­ing for Christ­mas

AS has be­come tra­di­tion in re­cent years, free park­ing will re­turn to Tralee in the run up to Christ­mas and right through the fes­tive sea­son.

From Mon­day, De­cem­ber 3, up un­til Satur­day, Jan­uary 5, there will be free park­ing in all coun­cil op­er­ated pay and dis­play zones – this in­cludes both on street park­ing and all coun­cil run car parks – from 1pm ev­ery day.

The mea­sure was unan­i­mously ap­proved at Mon­day’s monthly meet­ing of the Tralee Mu­nic­i­pal Dis­trict coun­cil.

Mayor of Tralee Cllr Gra­ham Spring wel­comed the de­ci­sion and said he hoped the move would en­cour­age shop­pers to visit the county cap­i­tal and pro­vide a timely boost to lo­cal re­tail­ers and other busi­nesses.
