There will be a clothing recycling drive in aid of St Patrick’s and Dromahair Ladies’ GAA Clubs. Collection point: Pavillion, Dromahair Community Park. Collection times and dates: Tuesdays ( 6 p. m. to 8 p. m.) and Saturdays ( 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.).
Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes, also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Wearable clothes will be recycled and re- used and other items will be recycled for items, such as, industrial wipes or soundproofing. No household bric- a- brac.

The annual coffee morning in aid of Hospice will take place nationwide on Thursday, September 14, This is the 25th year of coffee mornings for Hospice and here in this area we have been hosting the event for many of those 25 years. In his report to the AGM, the chairperson also stated he ‘ is concerned regarding the current HSE services in Mental Health. It is up to services like NW STOP and SOSAD to provide support. No other service in our field can respond at the same speed. I believe we can give an excellent service to clients to ensure they gain access to the service.’
He explained ‘ the direction that NW STOP has taken over the past 12 months is to bridge the gaps between initial crisis to pathways which are available.’
The Manorhamilton and District Historical Society promoted exhibition marking the closure of the Sligo Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway ( SL and NCR) on September 30, 1957, opened on Friday night, August 25, in the Leitrim Sculpture Centre.
Local historian, Margaret Connolly spoke eloquently and informatively at the opening of the exhibition on the SL and NCR on Friday night. The exhibition will run daily in the Sculpture Centre till this Friday, September 1, from 4 p. m. to 8 p. m. each day.

Louth. She will now compete in the semi- finals which will take place in the Aldi marquee at the National Ploughing Championships on the 19th and 20th of September.
