Kick­boxer Kyle in Euro con­test

ROSSES Point na­tive Kyle Keaney has qual­i­fied to rep­re­sent Ire­land in the Euro­pean Ju­nior Kick­box­ing Cham­pi­onships in Mace­do­nia in Septem­ber. Thir­teen- year- old Kyle trains with Col­looney Kick­box­ing Club and has been kick­box­ing for more than five years. Kyle’s father John will be trav­el­ling with Kyle and two other club mem­bers to Mace­do­nia. John and Kyle re­cently re­ceived a spon­sor­ship cheque from Cara Sta­tionery Di­rec­tor Gerry Keaney who is John’s brother. “We wish Kyle and all the Ir­ish com­peti­tors the best of luck in the Cham­pi­onships,” said Gerry. Kyle will be rep­re­sent­ing his coun­try at the up­com­ing Euro­pean Ju­nior Kick­box­ing Cham­pi­onships next month.
