Well done to storm Opehlia workers
Sligo County Council frontline staff were widely congratulated on their efforts during recent Storm Ophelia.
At last Monday’s council meeting councillors praised the efforts of council staff in providing constant updates to people throughout the course of the storm, and in their efforts afterwards to clean up and repair any damage.
Councillor Marie Casserly congratulated staff on their efforts, particularly in providing updates to the councillors and wider public on how the county was being impacted as the storm progressed through the north west.
Councillor Casserly’s sentiments were echoed by all council members while Chief Executive Ciarán Hayes said it was a good coordinated effort from national to local level and praised the communication within the county.
