Mul­linabreena photo ex­hi­bi­tion on com­mu­nity life

FACES young and old from past and present are set to go on dis­play at a spe­cial photo ex­hi­bi­tion in Mul­linabreena this Hal­loween.

Achonry Mul­linabreena Com­mu­nity En­hance­ment Group have been work­ing round the clock for the past six months to or­gan­ise the two-day event in St Nathy’s Hall on the Oc­to­ber Bank Hol­i­day Week­end, Sun­day and Mon­day 12.30-6.30pm.

Over 2,300 im­ages have been do­nated by lo­cal res­i­dents doc­u­ment­ing com­mu­nity life in all town­lands of the par­ish: GAA, lo­cal schoolchil­dren, Farm­ing/Cream­ery, Church, I.C.A. A themed slide show will also be on dis­play in the hall. “We’ ll have two slide shows on the stage that will be run­ning on the day. All the lo­cal peo­ple come in, we have tea and cof­fee so they can en­joy the dis­play. This year we’ ll have mar­quees out­side as well,” said Chair­man of Achonry Mul­linabreena Com­mu­nity En­hance­ment Group Michael Toolan. “From mod­ern pic­tures to those over 100 years old, they’ ll all be on dis­play,” he added.
