CHURCH NOTICES
Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses resume in the parish next weekend – July 4 and five, as follows: St Brigid’s Church, Killargue, on Saturday at 8 p.m. Church of Mary the Mother of God, Newtownmanor, on Sunday at 10 a.m. St Patrick’s Church, Dromahair, on Sunday at 11.15 a.m.
Due to social distancing guidelines the capacity of each of the three churches is reduced and this will be displayed on the church doors. These figures cannot be exceeded. Fr Paul along with the Parish Pastoral Council wishes to apologise in advance to those who may not get into the church for Mass because of the reduced capacity. Parishioners are reminded that they may attend a weekday Mass instead of the Saturday Vigil or Sunday Mass, if they wish. The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass still applies till further notice. Parishioners are advised not to attend Mass if they are unwell.
Charitable Donation Scheme: Fr Paul Casey along with the
‘SHARON’S MEMORIAL FUN RUN/WALK.
Given the continued restrictions, there will be no formal, communal, annual ‘Sharon’s Memorial Fun Run/Walk’ this year. However, for those who wish to continue the commemoration this year, individuals can choose a time/place of their own to pursue their 5K/8K Fun Run or Walk, between Sunday, July 5, and Sunday, August 3.
Those, who wish to donate to a good cause, in memory of Sharon Loughlin, can forward donations to any of the following: Pat Dolan – Mob: 086 0608731; Geraldine Loughlin – Mob: 086 0566156; Maggie McLoughlin – Mob: 086 1782072; Anne Dolan – Mob: 086 2242828. Details of the charity to receive such donations has yet to be confirmed, but will be announced next week.
This correspondent hopes to be on Streedagh Beach at 11 a.m. this Sunday, July 5 (Low Tide) to walk in memory of Sharon Loughlin.
