LADIES GET INTO GOLF:

ARE you are new to the area, like to make more friends, recently retired or simply thinking of taking up a new hobby. Our 8 week programme of one hour lessons for beginner ladies will commence in early July. Lessons will run on a Tuesday eve from 6.30pm. You will learn all the basics of the game from a golf professional, while existing members will help you to develop your skills. Each evening will end with a relaxing cuppa and a chat. All social distancing rules will be observed. No need for clubs, all equipment(sanitised) will be provided. Come along and see for yourself what the game is all about. BUSH HOTEL STABLEFORD:

WE are all so delighted that our fixtures calendar can now commence. Our season begins with The Bush Hotel Stableford which you can play on July 1st,4th or 5th. Remember all play must be booked on the timesheet. Observe all social distancing notices. GARVEY AND LYNCH CUPS:

THE draws have been made and group details and rules have been posted on the main noticeboard. First matches can be played from June 29th. All group matches to be played by August 1st.Remember all play must be booked on the timesheet and all social distancing notices observed. CONDOLENCES:

CASTLE DARGAN

COMPETITIVE golf returns to Castle Dargan this week. Wednesday and Thursday sees a 9 hole alternate day competition. Friday and Saturday see the Mill Pharmacy sponsor the first 18 hole alternate day open competition. Sunday’s competition is an 18 hole stableford competition sponsored by O’Grady’s shop and bar.

The concluding stages of the postponed winter league are also due to take place. In the A section Martin Burke plays Brian Travers, with the winner due to play Alan Martin in the final. In the B section Tony Wasylocha is due to play Ray O’Grady in the final.

The draw for the Castle Dargan Cup match play has also taken place. Round 1 is due to be played by July 12th and further details can be found in the Golf shop.

All members are reminded of the need to continue to observe the return to play protocols as issued by the GUI.
