Probation for stealing from shops
A 45-year-old man who admitted three shoplifting offences was put on probation for 12 months and ordered to give up booze for a year.
Norbert Kwiatkowski from Flat 2, 11 George’s Street, Wexford before appeared before Judge Gerard Haughton at the District Court sitting in Ardcavan.
A Polish interpreter assisted the accused follow proceedings and he was represented by solicitor Eadaoin Lawlor.
The court learned that Kwiatkowski took items including vodka, ham, trifle and aftershave from businesses which included Dunnes Stores and Shaws.
As well as being put on probation, the defendant was ordered not to consume alcohol and to attend AA meetings at least once every two weeks.
