Repeatedly breached bail conditions
A 32-year-old man who repeatedly broke bail conditions by going to the Wexford home of his former partner was remanded in jail.
Wexford District Court was told that the woman with whom he had a seven-year relationship took out a barring order against the defendant.
However, he was arrested at her home the previous Friday, allegedly banging on windows and making threats.
He was allowed bail by Judge John Cheatle at a special Saturday court sitting, with the condition that he must stay away.
However, gardaí were called once more in the early hours of the following day and they spotted him run away, though they later apprehended him.
His former partner said in court that she would be scared if he was released.
Judge Miriam Walsh confirmed the barring order for a year and remanded the man in custody for a week.
