Taghmon bar transfer

Wexford People - - NEWS -

Aindreas Ryan, Newtown, Taghmon was granted a certificate of transfer of Murphy’s Fountain Bar on Taghmon’s Main Street.

No garda objection was offered by Sergeant Gary Rayner when the matter was considered at Wexford District Court.

Appearing for Mr Ryan, solicitor Nigel Allen explained that his client owned the premises which he leased in 2012 to a man called Murphy.

The lease taken by Murphy lapsed in 2015 because of trading difficulties experienced by the business.

Mr Allen told the court that Mr Ryan had been subjected to a vicious assault many years ago and now uses a wheelchair.

The judge was assured that the county’s fire officer had no concerns about the premises.
