A 33-year-old man already serving a jail term was back before the District Court sitting in Wexford,

Thomas Kelly of 9 Stream Street, Taghmon, admitted having €10 worth of cannabis when travelling as passenger in a car stopped by Garda John Cleary in Taghmon on October 17, 2015.

Judge Gerard Haughton noted that, though Kelly had previous convictions, none was under the Mis-Use of Drugs Act.

He allowed the defendant the benefit of the Probation Act before Kelly was returned to prison under escort.
