Santa heading south east as the North Pole comes to the Quays

-

THE North Pole is coming to the Wexford Quays this Christmas.

Located on the quays beside Wexford People Wexford on Ice, Santa’s North Pole Experience will captivate young and old this Christmas time.

This wonderful experience, part of The Wexford Winterland Festival, promises magic and fun around every snowy corner.

Stroll through the Magic Forest with snow-covered Christmas trees glistening in the moonlight. At the end of the forest, you will see the Enchanted Gates to the Elves Village.

In order to enter, each child will have to find a magic coin to open the gates. Here, children can post their letters and visit the sleeping Dozy Elf who is always late for work. Can the kids wake him up in time?

Next, visit the reindeers’ stables and leave food for your favourite reindeer.

The Elves Workshop is usually kept behind closed doors, but this very special visit allows you to meet the Grand High Elf and help mend and make toys. Children may even be made Honorary Elves!

Patch the Elf will then bring families, individually, to meet and receive a gift from the one and only - Santa Claus!

Santa’s North Pole Experience runs from Friday, December 1 to Saturday, December 23. Tickets are €8 per adult and €16 per child. Under 2s are €8 and under 12 months are free.

Children’s tickets include a special gift from Santa and adult tickets include a hot beverage to warm you during the experience. Santa’s North Pole Experience is new to The Wexford Winterland Festival this year. Other favourite events will return including The Christmas Express where little ones will be enchanted by Christmas tales from Mrs Claus. The Wexford People Wexford on Ice will be open from Saturday, November 25 to January 7.

The Festival will be launched with the spectacular Winterland Parade, brought to you by Wexford retailers, travelling through the streets of the town from 4.30 p.m. on November 25, culminating with the switching on of the town’s Christmas lights. All the events can be booked at www.wexfordwinterland.com, by calling 053 9199199 or at the Lantern Box Office at 1 North Main St. Wexford Winterland is an economic initiative of Wexford County Council and is brought to Wexford by Lantern Events.
