Man admits shoplifting in Wexford

-

A FORMER Bunclody shop assistant was before the District Court in Wexford on shoplifting charges.

Marcin Nowak (32) now resident in Skerries admitted taking €145 worth of clothing from Lifestyle Sport, a wallet worth €69.95 from DV8 and a grey Adidas top from Evolution.

All offences were committed in Wexford Town on February 16.

The Adidas top was recovered in saleable condition but Lifestyle Sports and Evolution remained out of pocket.

Solicitor Ed King said his client had been suffering from depression but was now on medication to deal with this.

He had no previous convictions and Judge John Cheatle agreed that it would be preferable to leave Nowak with a clean record.

The defendant was offered the benefit of the Probation Act once €180 compensation is paid by May 21.
