Congratulations to the boys under-14 team of Seán Rowley, Shane Doran, Robbie Chapman and Oisin Cloke Rochford on winning the 4x200m Relay last weekend in the Leinster Indoor Championships.
Well done also to the two girls’ teams in action the under-12 girls of Maura Doyle, Johanna Chapman, Katie Doyle Ciara Laffan and Kiera Wilson won their heat but did not progress to the final and well done also to the under-13 team of Abbie Doyle, Amelia Furlong, Johanna Chapman and Katie Doyle, who ran well.
Best of luck to the 10 local athletes competing in Athlone IT on the weekend of March 10 which was postponed from this weekend.

Best of luck to the Bree-Davidstown Competitors in the county finals for the art, Model Making and Handwriting on Saturday next, March 10. Venue and times TBC the Co Swimming Finals are March 27 and Co Quiz Final is April 10 See Website Aldi Community Games May 2018 for rules of all national finals taking place in Limerick from May 25 to May 27.
YOUTH CLUB NEWS
The Senior Trip this year is to Carlingford on the July 15 to July 16. Price is €110. This includes an evening meal, breakfast and lunch and three activities for the children. A payment plan of paying €5 each week is set up for those interested in going on the trip.
The Junior Trip is to Clara Lara for our junior members. A payment plan is also set up. Price is €40 and this includes bus journey and admission to the park. Money for both trips will be taken at each club night.
A Senior Youth Club Disco will be held in Bree Community Centre on Friday next, March 9, junior disco is being held on Caim Hall on the same night. Names for both discos to be texted to youth club phone 087 4222336.
PARISH CONFIRMATION
Best wishes to the pupils from Ballyhogue, Bree and Galbally National Schools, who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday next, March 8. Bishop Denis Brennan will be in attendance.

Congratulations to the Bree Macra Debating team of Johanna Wickham, Sinéad Doyle, Áine Doyle and Niall Doyle which won the debate in the National semi-final against Athboy last weekend. Best wishes to the team in the national final in Dundalk on Saturday night next against Awbeg, Co Cork. The local team propose the motion ‘That Ireland is taking its environmental commitments seriously’.
