Hibs beat Ballindagg­in to keep title hopes alive

Ballindagg­in FC 2, Courtown Hibs 3: Courtown Hibs recorded their second win of the season when travelling to Ballycarne­y and coming out on top in a very close game, a result that keeps their title ambitions alive and has more or less relegated Ballindagg­in back to Division 1.

Anna Roban and Aoife Farrell were on target for the home side, but a goal from Alex Lynch and two from Mia Davey gave Hibs an important three points.

U-18 eleven-a-side

Bunclody AFC 0, Piltown FC 7: Piltown moved joint top of the Under-18 league when travelling to Bunclody and running out comfortabl­e 7-0 winners.

Leah O’Donoghue and Kaeisha Tobin scored two goals each for the away side, while Jessica Devereux, Aine Kavanagh and Aoibheann Kavanagh all contribute­d with a goal each.
