Accused sent for trial
A Wexford man accused of assault causing harm has had his case sent forward to the Circuit Court for trial.
Philip Foley (48) of 9 Lower John Street, Wexford, is charged with assault causing harm to Barry Smith at The Riverside Park Hotel on August 18 of last year.
A book of evidence was served in court and solicitor John Burke O’Leary was appointed with a certificate for one counsel.
Judge Gerard Haughton warned Foley that if an alibi formed any part of his defence, he had 14 days to furnish the prosecution with details. He then made the order sending the case forward to the current sitting of Wexford Circuit Court.
