Licence is restored
Convicted drink driver John Mooney of Mount George House, Wexford had his licence restored early on application to Judge Gerard Haughton at the District Court, with effect from May 1.
Mooney confirmed that he was put off the road for six years back in March of 2014.
The penalty was the cause of a great deal of difficulty for him, personally and work-wise.
He said that he could not walk to work as he had suffered a leg injury in a motor-cycle accident some time ago.
He added that he had not taken a drink since the offence in 2012 which landed him before the court.
