Car flips over on the N11

Wexford People - - NEWS -

EMERGENCY services were quick to respond to an incident which saw a vehicle flip completely onto its side just outside Oylegate on the N11. The incident took place shortly after 6 p.m. on a sunny summer’s evening and involved only one vehicle, which was heading north on the Enniscorthy side of the village.

While the fire service, ambulance and gardaí were quick to arrive at the scene, it appears the incident was relatively minor and the driver, a man aged in his early sixties from just outside Enniscorthy, was left shaken but uninjured.

A spokesman for Enniscorthy gardaí said that the man was checked over by paramedics at the scene, but did not require further medical attention.

Gardaí said that no cause for the accident had been determined, however, there was an extremely low sun that evening and it’s possible that it may have played a part. The scene was cleared relatively quickly.
