Ask for listening ear at Button & Spoon

-

BUTTON & SPOON has announced that it is adopting the Ask campaign as mental health partners for 2018/2019. The partnership was officially announced and celebrated at a special fundraising breakfast in the cafe in Keywest.

The proceeds of the breakfast and a raffle were donated to the campaign and similar events will be run during the year to support the work of Ask.

Button and Spoon’s Nuala Grant said that the Ask campaign was chosen for several reasons but primarily because in the business they see people every day in need of someone to speak to, some human contact and a listening ear.

‘The tearoom is a place of conversation, it is built on the need for a cup of tea and a chat and therefore it is the perfect partnership for us. If we can help to break the silence and promote positive mental health then we are delighted to do to’, said proprietor Nuala Grant. Entertainment was provided.

Members of the Ask team were on hand to talk to customers. One conversation can save a life.
