-

NOMINATION: WEXFORD START-UP BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD WEXFORD TOURISM AWARD - Wexford Visitor Attraction/Activities of the Year Award

THE IOAC is the International Outdoor Adventure Centre and Camping Grounds based in Tagoat, Co Wexford and is owned and run by Wexford couple, Adrian and Carmel Tennant. The IOAC opened its doors in June 2017 and this has proved to be a successful tourism business and one which is growing as it becomes known throughout the county, country and further afield.

The first year of business has proven successful where there is a definite growth in families camping and enjoying the activities outdoors. The location of the IOAC close to the Europort is also allowing for oversea campers availing of the great facilities that the IOAC has to offer, with an increased number of campers from our European countries, including Germany, Italy, Belgium to name but a few.

The IOAC offers multiple activities for young and old, be they camping residents or day visitors who are looking for excitement, fun and adventure. This coming Summer season are looking very positive for the IOAC as we continue to broaden the tourism sector in Wexford. As well as being open to the public the IOAC campus also features a dedicated bespoke International Scout and Guide Campsite, bringing young people from near and far to the locality.

The IOAC is spreading it’s wings a little further this year, and opening a base in Rosslare Strand, IOAC SeaBase where we will be offering kayaking, body boarding and team activities on the beach. This is a great expansion for our business offering more great outdoor activities to the visitors and residents of Rosslare Strand.

We have a very busy summer season ahead, and we are looking forward to welcoming lot of return visitors to the IOAC and Tagoat and new campers and adventurers too for an exciting season. IOAC – Feel Every Moment!
