Roll up to quay rink

-

WEXFORD QUAY will play host to the South East’s largest roller skating rink from this Wednesday, offering skaters of all abilities the chance to experience an American-style roller rink.

Organised by local promoters Lantern Presents, the rink will remain in place until August 6, running daily from 12 noon until 10 p.m.

The 5,000 square foot rink is sure to impress with a surround sound music system, funky disco lights and a gigantic disco ball, with plenty of tunes keeping people entertained.

The rink will cater for all ages and abilities, and there will be plenty of staff to lend a hand as people take their first wobbly steps. The rink will provide summer jobs for 15 staff while local suppliers were contracted for the construction and installation of the rink.

Sensory Sessions will take place on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m.

Brian Byrne, owner of Lantern Presents says: ‘The Roller Rink offers an alternative summer activity for teens and families in Wexford town. We have brought a nostalgic activity back to town, which will reignite old memories for some and hopefully create many new memories for the next generation.’

Tickets can be purchased online at www. rollerrink.ie, at the Box Office at No. 1 North Main Street Wexford or at the Roller Rink.
