Two town houses are ran­sacked in break-ins

TWO houses in Wex­ford town were ran­sacked by thieves dur­ing break-ins on the same night last week.

Gardaí in Wex­ford are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a break-in at a house in Strand­field Manor some­time be­tween 7.30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 2.

A garda spokesper­son said ac­cess to the build­ing was gained by smash­ing a rear win­dow.

‘En­try was through a rear win­dow and the house was ran­sacked,’ said the Garda.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are also un­der way into a break-in the same evening at a house in Clonard Park some­time be­tween 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

A spokesper­son for Wex­ford Gardaí said the house was ran­sacked but added: ‘It’s not known at this stage what was taken.’
