DANCERS EN­JOY FRENCH CON­NEC­TION IN PARIS COM­PE­TI­TION

A GROUP of dancers from the Sheila Grace Dance Com­pany were last week de­light­ing French au­di­ences when they per­formed at the In­ter­na­tional Fes­ti­val of Dance and Per­form­ing Arts in Paris.

In to­tal, 31 dancers aged from four up to 19 trav­elled to com­pete in the cat­e­gories of Mod­ern Contemporary, Jazz, Mu­si­cal Theatre, Hip Hop and Lyri­cal. They also per­formed their own 20-minute dance rou­tine in Dis­ney­land Paris on the Videopo­lis stage af­ter a very suc­cess­ful au­di­tion. Fi­nally, they will dance through Dis­ney­land Park in a pa­rade with all of the com­pet­ing dancers.

The group has been training for the past year un­der the watch­ful eyes of chore­og­ra­phers Tara O’Brien and Kelly Jane Power. They re­cently danced for Culture Night with a se­lec­tion of their rou­tines and re­ceived fan­tas­tic feed­back.

Prior to their de­par­ture, they en­joyed a party of fam­ily and friends wish­ing them good luck in the com­pe­ti­tion.
