DANCERS ENJOY FRENCH CONNECTION IN PARIS COMPETITION
A GROUP of dancers from the Sheila Grace Dance Company were last week delighting French audiences when they performed at the International Festival of Dance and Performing Arts in Paris.
In total, 31 dancers aged from four up to 19 travelled to compete in the categories of Modern Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Lyrical. They also performed their own 20-minute dance routine in Disneyland Paris on the Videopolis stage after a very successful audition. Finally, they will dance through Disneyland Park in a parade with all of the competing dancers.
The group has been training for the past year under the watchful eyes of choreographers Tara O’Brien and Kelly Jane Power. They recently danced for Culture Night with a selection of their routines and received fantastic feedback.
Prior to their departure, they enjoyed a party of family and friends wishing them good luck in the competition.
