Nursing home presents cheques
BLAINROE Lodge Nursing Home presented the Wicklow and District Lions Club and the Irish Therapy Dogs with cheques for €500 each at the home’s annual summer barbecue.
In December Blainroe organised well-attended craft fair which helped to raise a total of €1,000 for the two charities.
Wicklow and District Lions Club and the Irish Therapy Dogs received a pleasant surprise on Friday as they attended the annual barbecue for family and friends.
Sean Olohan of the Lions Club and Katherine Byrne and Loulou Belle of Irish Therapy Dogs were presented with cheques by Blainroe Home Manager, Louise Moran and Activities Manager Amanda Vickers in the beautiful grounds of Blainroe. Members of the Lions Club entertain patients every year in the nursing home which is always very well received.
This Friday, in Hunter’s Hotel, Rathnew, the Lions Club President Tony Lyons will hand over his chain to the incoming President Pat O’Brien.
