LEINSTER CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE RUN RAISES €10,000
LEINSTER CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE CLUB ROAD RUN IN AID OF LAURALYNN CHILDREN’S HOSPICE
A total of 75 motorcyclists gathered at Parkview House, Shillelagh, last weekend to take part in the 15 th annual charity run hosted by Leinster Classic Motorcycle Club.
This year’s run was in aid of LauraLynn’s Children’s Hospice and followed a route through Bunclody, Ferns, Camolin, Arklow, Avoca -with a coffee stop in the Farriers In, Rathdrum, Laragh finishing in Baltinglass where the riders enjoyed dinner in Germaine’s.
Afterwards, presentations were made and Peter Keogh and Tara Nolan from Shillelagh were honoured to receive a prize for the most amount of donations collected. Second prize went to Jimmy McNabb, Rathnew, third went to Tom Fleming, Redcross and Martin Quaile from Shillelagh received fourth prize. Furthest travelled went to Con Rogers who came down from Ashbourne in Co Meath. Organiser Leonard Fitzpatrick thanked everyone who took part and said that it is a credit to them that the event has raised over €246,000 for charity since it started.
This year’s final amount will be in excess of €10,000 and a cheque will be handed over to LauraLynn charity on October 22. Thanks are extended to everyone who supported the event.
