Su­per cel­e­bra­tion for Hol­ly­wood GAA

HOL­LY­WOOD GAA CLUB put the fin­ish­ing touches to a won­der­ful 2017 when they held their club din­ner dance last week­end.

Fol­low­ing their mag­nif­i­cent In­ter­me­di­ate foot­ball cham­pi­onship triumph, there was only one way top cel­e­brate and that was with a big shindig wor­thy of such an hon­our and the Hol­ly­wood crew didn’t dis­ap­point.

Present on the night were the he­roes of that In­ter­me­di­ate team who came through a tough cam­paign be­fore fi­nally dis­patch­ing Dunlavin in the de­cider thanks to a su­perb per­for­mance in Joulr Park, Aughrim.

It was also a big year off the field with ma­jor fund­ing be­ing se­cured for the club while club ref­eree De­clan Pep­pard took charge of the SFC de­cider be­tween Rath­new and Bless­ing­ton.

Spe­cial guests in at­ten­dance were the now leg­endary Mick Murry, team man­ager, and Wick­low GAA Chair­man Martin Fitzger­ald who pre­sented the cham­pi­onship medals medals to the win­ning team mem­bers.

In­di­vid­ual play­ers who were pre­sented with awards at Tul­far­ris on the night were Se­nior Player of the Year: Tony Han­non; Ju­nior Player of the Year: Thomas Kelly; Most Im­proved Player: Cian Tyrrell; Young Player of the Year: Matthew Kelly.
