Sad death of lorry driver on M11

A LORRY driver who died in tragic cir­cum­stances in a layby on the M11 on Satur­day has been named lo­cally as Ken­neth Rowe from Co Wex­ford.

Mr Rowe, who is be­lieved to be in his early 30s, was found by gar­daí in the trailer of the ar­tic­u­lated lorry he was driv­ing shortly af­ter 8.20 a.m.

The ve­hi­cle was found parked with its lights on at the south­bound layby be­tween Ark­low and Gorey af­ter the alarm was raised by a mem­ber of the pub­lic.

Gar­daí from Ark­low at­tended the scene and Mr Rowe’s body was trans­ferred for post-mortem.

Mr Rowe, from Tullibards, Bridgetown, and the Old Farm­house, Church­town, Fethard-onSea, is sadly missed by his fam­ily and friends.
