Sad death of lorry driver on M11
A LORRY driver who died in tragic circumstances in a layby on the M11 on Saturday has been named locally as Kenneth Rowe from Co Wexford.
Mr Rowe, who is believed to be in his early 30s, was found by gardaí in the trailer of the articulated lorry he was driving shortly after 8.20 a.m.
The vehicle was found parked with its lights on at the southbound layby between Arklow and Gorey after the alarm was raised by a member of the public.
Gardaí from Arklow attended the scene and Mr Rowe’s body was transferred for post-mortem.
Mr Rowe, from Tullibards, Bridgetown, and the Old Farmhouse, Churchtown, Fethard-onSea, is sadly missed by his family and friends.
