Square One presents ‘Un­bro­ken Cir­cle’ in Bray

THE lat­est pro­duc­tion by Square One Theatre Group has hit the stage at the Mer­maid Arts Cen­tre.

Un­bro­ken Cir­cle by James Wes­ley opened on Tues­day night and con­tin­ues nightly at 8 p.m. un­til Satur­day, Novem­ber 10, at the Bray venue. Paul Flynn di­rects Square One Theatre Group in what is a new play that re­cently pre­miered on Broad­way.

Set in 1970 Galve­ston, Texas, a fam­ily is brought to­gether for the first time in years on the day of it’s pa­tri­arch’s fu­neral. As the day turns into night, the im­pact of the man on his fam­ily, un­folds in sur­pris­ing ways leav­ing each mem­ber grap­pling with the truth. It is hi­lar­i­ous and dis­turb­ing as it ex­plores how fam­ily se­crets af­fect ev­ery per­son in each gen­er­a­tion dif­fer­ently. In­spired by a true story, it’s con­tent is not suitable for un­der 16s and may of­fend.

Tick­ets cost €18 (€16 con­ces­sion) and are avail­able from the Mer­maid.
