Talk on herbalist options for cancer patients
A TALK examining the herbalist options for cancer sufferers will take place in Wicklow town next week.
Recent study on easing some of the side effects of chemotherapy using herbalist preparations have shown significant lessening of the unpleasant experiences of patients. This will be the theme the talk, which takes place in the Dominican Ecology Centre at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19.
Isobel Keeling is a qualified herbalist and a naturopathic practitioner who runs a clinic in Windgates, Greystones. Her own journey from acute illness to full recovery under the treatments and advice from Dr John McKenna gave her the incentive to study and follow this branch of natural healing therapy. She treats clients with a variety of ailments and has a particular interest in the prevention and complimentary treatment of cancer.
Her talk will be open to all and the discourse will be of interest to any family or individual who is involved in any way with Wicklow Cancer support groups; both patients and volunteers alike.
There will be no charge for this event but there will be a basket for donations if anyone wishes to contribute.
