Wicklow People (West Edition) - - NEWS -

THE recent King and Queen of the Wellies event in Rathdangan was a great success and saw members of the community come out in force and take on an obstacle course for two worthy causes. The title winners, Queen Lorraine O’Toole and King Colm Keogh were on hand recently as cheques were presented to Baltinglass Hospital and Sophia Counselling Centre, Kiltegan.

Organised by Rathdangan Community Council, the event received lots of support and the funds raised will assist the work of both organisaitons.

Lorraine and Colm were delighted to present cheques to Fr Seamus Whitney and Aine McCarthy of Sophia Counselling Centre and to Brid Owens, assistant director or nursing in Baltinglass Hospital. The donation will go towards the Comfort Fund. Thanks are extended to everyone who showed support for the event.
