The 9s delivered a top performance against a good Leixlip team coming away with a 7-4 victory. The team were very good all over but special mention for David Caldwell and Daniel smith for their top performances. Next up for the under-9s is an away game v Kilcock (TBC).

Extremely busy week on the pitch with most teams near finishing up for the end of the year.
Our under-13 boys had a brilliant win On Monday night in Eire Og on a scoreline of 4-8 to 1-9. Class performance from the whole team. They played St Nicks on Monday night at 7pm in Baltinglass in the last game of their round robin of championship before they will face a semi-final themselves. The very best of luck to the boys and management.
Our Minor girls played in Ballymoney on Tuesday night against AGB. First Round of the championship to only be beaten by one point in the finish. Really unlucky but played super and the girls tried so hard to get over the line and win the game.
The under-13 girls had their final training session and medal presentation for finishing top of their group and unbeaten in the Kildare league, something to build on for 2018 U14 season. Well done girls. Saturday seen the end of year James Byrne Cup being contested between our under-7s and under-9 boys.
A great morning where the lads had an opportunity to play for a trophy and a shield and always brings great enjoyment. Fantastic way to finish the season. A big thanks as always to the Byrne Family for continued support of this tournament every year and to the coaches for all their time and effort with the players all year.
Saturday evening seen a fantastic display of football from our under-17s against Clara Gaels in Balinakill. Final scoreline was 3-15 to 2-8.
The boys are now into the under-17 county final next Sunday, October 15 v Luke O’Tooles.
Make sure to get the Green and White out and get down to support this fantastic team.
Sunday morning seen our under-8 and under-10 girls take to the pitch for their end of year blitz. Well done on a great year girls.
Thank you to All Ireland winner Olwyn Carey from Dublin for presenting the girls with their medals and to the coaches for all their hard work throughout the year.
Last but certainly not least, our Senior men lined out in Aughrim to battle it out against Rathnew to win a place in the county final v Blessington. Unfortunately it was not our day and the final score was Rathnew 1-9 Baltinglass 0-8.
Each and every one of the lads have put their heart and soul into the games this year, their commitment is second to none and we are all very proud of the displays of footballs they have shown over the last number of months.
Disappointing result but the future is very bright for not only the Senior team but the whole club.
We are very lucky that on a nightly basis our club is a hive of activity and that we have fantastic facilities to be able to host so many training sessions and games.
As always we are trying to develop these facilities and ensure they are kept to the highest standard - this, like most things in life, costs money.
On average the club costs €148,500 to run every year. From the upkeep of the pitches, goalposts, stands to the development of dressing rooms, the gym, to the gear for the juveniles, to the end of season trips.
For our club to keep running as greatly as it does and for us to continually improve our facilities we need to raise funds on an annual basis.
This year we are running our very own Development Draw. Tickets are €50 each and the draw takes place on Friday, October 27, in Horan’s.
Fantastic prizes on offer with the first prize being a brand new Dacia Sandero Car. All funds from this draw will go towards the development and upkeep of our facilities and we will use this as the main fundraising event this year.
Each household in the club are being asked to buy just one ticket to support the draw.
Tickets are available from any member of the club committee or the manager of any team. Once again we thank you for your continuous support.
