Birdwatch events for enthusiasts
THE Wicklow branch of BirdWatch Ireland has a number of outings and talks lined up for the coming months.
On Saturday, September 22 there will be an outing to Kilcoole to look for migrant birds. The meeting point is at the local train station car park for 10 a.m.
Brian Burke of BirdWatch Ireland will present a talk on the Roseate Tern Conservation Project on Tuesday, October 9, in the Glenview Hotel starting at 8 p.m.
There will be a trip to Dundalk to see wintering waterbirds on Saturday, October 20. Further details will be released closer to the date.
Cape Clear wildlife officer Steve Wing presents ‘The birds and other wildlife of Cape Clear’ at the Glenview Hotel at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13.
A garden bird workshop has been arranged for Saturday, November 24 at the East Coast Nature Reserve. Meet at the main entrance on the Sea Road at 10 a.m.
