Bird­watch events for en­thu­si­asts

THE Wick­low branch of Bird­Watch Ire­land has a num­ber of out­ings and talks lined up for the com­ing months.

On Satur­day, Septem­ber 22 there will be an out­ing to Kil­coole to look for mi­grant birds. The meet­ing point is at the lo­cal train sta­tion car park for 10 a.m.

Brian Burke of Bird­Watch Ire­land will present a talk on the Roseate Tern Conservation Project on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 9, in the Glen­view Ho­tel start­ing at 8 p.m.

There will be a trip to Dundalk to see win­ter­ing wa­ter­birds on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20. Fur­ther de­tails will be re­leased closer to the date.

Cape Clear wildlife of­fi­cer Steve Wing presents ‘The birds and other wildlife of Cape Clear’ at the Glen­view Ho­tel at 8 p.m. on Tues­day, Novem­ber 13.

A gar­den bird work­shop has been ar­ranged for Satur­day, Novem­ber 24 at the East Coast Na­ture Re­serve. Meet at the main en­trance on the Sea Road at 10 a.m.
