GAA CLUB NEWS

Our deep­est sym­pa­thies to the O’Lough­lin and Byrne fam­i­lies on their very sad loss. We also wish to sym­pa­thise with the Collins and Lalor fam­i­lies on the pass­ing of John. Thanks to every­one who helped with the work done in the foot­ball field last week­end.

45 Card game is back on Novem­ber 9 start­ing at 8.30 p.m. in the Com­mu­nity Hall, An­nacurra. Top score €100.

BOWLS CLUB

The mem­bers of An­nacurra Bowls Club ex­tend their sym­pa­thy to the Dal­ton fam­ily, An­nacurra on the death of their fa­ther Tom Dal­ton RIP Tom and his late wife Betty were loyal mem­bers of the bowls club from the time in was set up in 1998. After Betty’s death 12 years ago, Tom put up a cup (Betty Dal­ton Me­mo­rial Cup) in her mem­ory. A com­pe­ti­tion is played for it ev­ery spring. The mem­bers of the An­nacurra bowls club had a guard of honor from Hazel Hill to the church on Fri­day evening for his re­moval to the church. He will be sadly missed by all his col­leagues and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

The bowls sea­son as usual with bowls in the Com­mu­nity Cen­ter ev­ery Thurs­day ans Sun­day night at 8 p.m. This Sun­day night we are do­ing the draw for the Christ­mas tur­key Com­pe­ti­tions. Hope­fully every­one will be avail­able to take part.

REMEMBRANCE MASS

In Novem­ber, we re­mem­ber. Re­mem­ber­ing loved ones who have passed away is a spe­cial fo­cus in Novem­ber.

A Remembrance Mass will take place in St Kevin’s Church, Kilaveney, Ti­na­hely at 7.30 p.m. on Satur­day, Novem­ber 10. If you have lost a loved one dur­ing the last 12 months and whose fu­neral Mass was cel­e­brated in St Kevin’s Church, your fam­ily is in­vited to this Remembrance Mass.

We will also re­mem­ber Parish­ioners’ loved ones whose Fu­neral Mass took place else­where dur­ing the last 12 months. All are warmly wel­come to join in this Remembrance Mass to re­mem­ber fam­ily, rel­a­tives and friends who have gone home to our Lord. Please give the name of your loved one to a mem­ber of the Pas­toral Coun­cil, so that a can­dle may be avail­able to you dur­ing this spe­cial Holy Mass. Please in­clude your own name and con­tact de­tails.

COLÁISTE BHRÍDE DOES STRICTLY

Coláiste Bhríde’s Strictly Come Danc­ing will take place on Novem­ber 15 at 8 p.m. Tick­ets will be avail­able in the school, from the PTA, from any of the dancers or by phon­ing 086 8500607 be­tween 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tick­ets will also be on sale in Gre­gan’s shop, Cool­boy, Ti­na­hely post of­fice, and Aughrim post of­fice.
