A TINAHELY man who pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit has received a suspended prison sentence at Arklow District Court.
Wayne O’Driscoll of Beechwood Drive, Tinahely, was charged with commiting the offence on March 8, 2017 after he was stopped by gardaí. A reading of 74mcg alcohol to 100 ml breath was given in court.
Judge Alan Mitchell questioned whether or not the defendant had learned his lesson, given the fact that he has two similar previous convictions.
‘If you are found driving a vehicle the gardaí may re-enter the matter,’ he said.
The four-month sentence was suspended for two years in the defendant’s own bond of €100 and a sixmonth driving ban was also handed down.
