Camo­gie club to host Five Bounds Chal­lenge

ANNACURRA Camo­gie Club will host its in­au­gu­ral Five Bounds Chal­lenge this Satur­day morn­ing.

This 10km fundrais­ing race will see com­peti­tors head up Pre­ban Hall to where the five bound­aries of the lo­cal town­lands meet. For those seek­ing a slightly gen­tler chal­lenge, a 5km fam­ily fun run and walk will also be held.

Reg­is­tra­tion for both races can be com­pleted on­line at pop­ or from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. this Satur­day morn­ing, Novem­ber 18, at Annacurra Com­mu­nity Hall. The race will start at 10.30 a.m.

Par­tic­i­pants in both races can look for­ward to some fan­tas­tic prizes, with €100 up for grabs for the first male and fe­male home in the 10km event while fam­i­lies can com­pete for en­try to Dublin Zoo, tick­ets to Dun­drum on Ice and lots more.

All funds raised will go di­rectly to Annacurra Camo­gie Club and every­one is in­vited to hang around after­wards to en­joy the tasty pig on a spit, bean casse­role and hot drinks. The show­ers and chang­ing rooms will be avail­able on the day. ARK­LOW Rock Par­nells GAA Club will hold it’s an­nual Mass for de­ceased mem­bers of the club next week.

The ser­vice will take place in the club­house on Emo­clew Road in Ark­low on Fri­day, Novem­ber 24, at 8 p.m. Rev Liam Dunne will be the cel­e­brant. Re­fresh­ments will be served af­ter after­wards.

Ark­low Rock Par­nells AGM will take place in the club­house at 7.00 p.m. on the De­cem­ber 7.
