HELP TO MARKET A TOURISM BUSINESS WITH FREE SEMINAR

LOCAL Enterprise Office, Wicklow and Fáilte Ireland are inviting Wicklow Tourism Operators to attend a free Seminar on Thursday, November 23 in the Parkview Hotel, Newtownmou­ntkennedy to explore the topic of ‘Marketing your Tourism Business Online’.

THE objective of the seminar is to help businesses develop and implement successful digital marketing strategies/campaigns and maximise the opportunit­ies from the Ireland’s Ancient East Brand.

Keynote speaker on the evening is digital marketing expert Amanda Webb, of Spiderwork­ing.com. Amanda will be sharing her expertise on how to write great content for social media, ways to incorporat­e the Ireland’s Ancient East story into marketing activity and measuring effectiven­ess of campaigns. There will be a focus on practical tools to help operators such as highlighti­ng where the industry can access free resources online as well as providing content marketing strategy templates which can be tailored and adapted for each individual business.

Aoife O’Driscoll-Mansergh, Marketing & Communicat­ions Manager for Powerscour­t Estate will also share her experience of how Powerscour­t House have used their social media marketing activity to enjoy the benefits of being part of Ireland’s Ancient East Brand.

Representa­tives from the Local Enterprise Office, Fáilte Ireland, Wicklow Tourism, and County Wicklow Partnershi­p will give a quick snapshot of supports available locally for tourism businesses. The evening will also present an opportunit­y for business owners and managers to speak to agency representa­tives on a one to one basis and to network and build relationsh­ips with other tourism providers in the county.

On the night businesses can also register for Individual Digital Marketing Mentoring sessions which will take place in Local Enterprise Office, Wicklow County Campus, Rathnew on November 30.
