CARD DRIVE

Whist partner card drive will be on in Glenealy village hall this Thursday, March 15, and 45 card drive will be the following Thursday, March 22, at 8.30 p.m. New pLayers always welcome.

FOROIGE YOUTH CLUB

Glenealy Foróige youth club is back in Glenealy Village hall for youths aged 12 years to 18 years. It will be on every Friday night at 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Anyone interested can come along any Friday night for more informatio­n contact 0404 44040.

GYMBOREE

Gymboree Play and Music Classes continue every Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. in Glenealy Village Hall. Suitable for babies, toddlers and Pre-Schoolers from six months – four years.

Teach your child a love of music through songs, dance, movement fun and musical instrument­s, exploring various different musical styles. Booking is essential as places are limited. Contact Rachel at 086 8330212 for more informatio­n and to book your place.

SATURDAYS PLAYGROUP

The Saturdays Playgroup will be in Glenealy Village Hall every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to midday. Fun play for pre-school children and up. Cost €3 per family.

VILLAGE HALL

Next whist will be March 21 – unfortunat­ely the last whist had to be canclled due to the snow.

BLOOD CLINIC

Like so many other events the Blood Clinic was cancelled due to the weather conditions. No new date has been set but notificati­on of new date will be highlighte­d when known.

VARIETY NIGHT

A Variety Night, in aid of Ballinacor GFC, will take place on Saturday, March 24, in Lawless Hotel Aughrim. Doors open at 7.30 p.m. Tickets €15.

FIRST CONFESSION

The boys and girls of the parish will make their First Confession on Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in Rathdrum Church.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The Rathdrum St Patrick’s Parade will start Saturday at midday from Avon Motors. If you have an hour spare to help out stewarding on the day the committee will welcome your help. Interest in the parade is very high this year.

TIDY TOWNS

The Rathdrum Tidy Towns AGM will take place on Wednesday, March 14, at 7.30 p.m. in the Anne Devlin Annex of the RDA hall. All members and intending members are welcome. The Tidy Towns committee are working hard on their float for the St Patrick’s Day parade. If you can spare some time to help please give 087 2208728 a call.

There was no jackpot winner in last week’s draw. The numbers drawn were 18, 19, 20 and 23. There was no match-three winners. Next week’s jackpot will be €12,100Cake Sale and Céili. There will be a cake sale and céili on Friday, March 16, at 10.30 till 2: 30 in Moneystown community hall in aid of Moneystown National School.

MORNING BADMINTON

Tuesday morning badminton continues from 9.30 a.m. beginners always welcome. Some rackets are available.

WALKING CLUB

The Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action every Wednesday evening meeting at 7 p.m. at the Coach House car park. Everyone welcome to walk at your own pace for approximat­ely one hour in and around Roundwood village.
